Among the most valuable resources of any organization is the human one. This asset is not easy to find, to recruit, and to nourish without considerable investment from leaders. Personal health condition in particular and occupational health in general are all the time faced by managers or HR executives in any organization. Productivity and performance of staff, when sick or not being well are compromised, causing decreased performance of the organization.
HR policies include programs to maintain and improve staff’s health status in the long run. This requires time and adequate consideration and investment from leaders to fully assess staff’s health status and influences by working environment. Only by this understanding, leaders may have corrections to existing procedures or environment to protect staff’s health condition.
